Festival Season Has Kicked Off With That 70's Style!

Bob Aylott's iconic picture of this pregnant woman taken at the Isle Of Wight Festival in 1970, came to represent a festival legacy has now spanned decades. Embodying the free spirit, free love atmosphere in a stylish mini dress surrounded by the madness of the festival, for many this encompasses everything that's great about the legendary 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. Yet 40 years on who she is is still a mystery.....

In summer of 2010 the Isle of Wight Festival celebrated 40 years since this picture was taken and is looking to answer the question; who was THE pregnant woman brave enough to travel all the way to the Isle of Wight for a once in a life time experience including seeing Jimi Hendrix at one of his last performances, before starting her family?

After stumbling across my photos from last years Isle of Wight festival, It got me excited about this years benicassim festival i shall be attending and what my wardrobe should entail. While Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and my personal favourite Paulo Nutini warm up for Benicassim in Sunny Spain, I'm browsing the trends to start getting my wardrobe ready for the festival season, the tired boho look is getting ditched and we're giving the glamorous style of  the ‘70s  a go. Try the iconic 70's flowy armed mini dresses, ankle grazing hemlines, chunky heels, high waisted shorts and headscarves. You'll definately stand out from the unwashed crowd.
